Some people would say they deserve each other.
When Simon Cowell took his "X-Factor" auditions to New Jersey, he told MTV, “I wanted to find the next Snooki.”
Cowell said that Snooki, of the "Jersey Shore," has that "X factor.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cowell said that Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi had come to his production company for a meeting and his team loved her. “They were taking pictures with her,” he said.
Simon said his first reaction to the reality program was that it was absolute genius. "Whether you like the show or not, these kids are suddenly big stars. They just make me laugh."
And Snooki returned the love for Cowell’s "X-Factor" on Twitter Thursday, tweeting, “#XFactor!” “Omg crying. Fricken love.” She then provided more indepth commentary on the show.
Cinemablend.com reports that "The X Factor" averages about 12.5 million viewers. It can be seen on Fox on Wednesday and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie vetoed the tax break that would have given producers of "Jersey Shore" $420,000 in state tax credits for the show’s first season.According to the Concord, the credit, known of course, as the “Snooki Subsidy,” was approved by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
